FATES WARNING Confirmed For Holland's HEADWAY FESTIVAL

January 14, 2005

Legendary progressive metal act FATES WARNING have been confirmed as the headliners of the Headway Festival in Amstelveen, Netherlands on April 3.

The band's appearance at Headway and their previously announced five headlining shows in February will most likely be their only shows in Europe this year.

After April, FATES WARNING guitarist Jim Matheos will be focusing on a new album from OSI (OFFICE OF STRATEGIC INFLUENCE) (Matheos' collaboration with DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy, CHROMA KEY/ex-DREAM THEATER keyboardist Kevin Moore, and GORDIAN KNOT/ex-CYNIC bassist Sean Malone) and hopefully a FATES WARNING tour in the States.

As previously reported, FATES WARNING are scheduled to film a video for the song "Simple Human" on January 23. Directing the clip will be Jerry Clubb of MentalSuplex Productions, who has previously worked with SIX FEET UNDER on their "Dead and Buried" video.

"Simple Human" (mp3) comes off the group's upcoming CD, "FWX", available now on Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2000's "Disconnected" was recorded at Carriage House studios in Stamford, Connecticut and features cover artwork by renowned record-cover artist Ioannis (DREAM THEATER, SEPULTURA, DEEP PURPLE, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, KING CRIMSON, BIOHAZARD, VOIVOD, UFO, OVERKILL).
